Our water heater went out on a Sunday afternoon. My wife called Shafer Services immediately after we noticed the leak, and they scheduled us an appointment for Monday morning. First thing Monday morning, Shafer called us and dispatched a plumber, Ismael, to our house to figure out what was going on and consult with us about what we needed to do. Shortly after dispatch, Ismael arrived at our house, checked out the water heater, and quickly identified the multiple issues it was having. He explained what would have to be done to service our existing water heater and then explained why replacing it was by far the most cost effective solution. He worked up a list of several replacement options, sat down with us, and patiently explained the pros and cons of each option, warranty period, etc. We gave it some thought, and after we decided on one of the options, Ismael got to work pulling the old water heater and preparing for the installation of the replacement water heater. Together with one of his co-coworkers, Franc, they had the replacement delivered and installed before noon. All told, it only took about 4 hours for Schafer to schedule a plumber, dispatch him to our house, identify our problems, consult with us on the solution, pull the old water heater, deliver the replacement water heater, and install it. This is the second time we’ve had Shafer do work at our house – the first time was for an A/C system replacement – and once again, we found their service to be top-notch. Excellent job guys! – Mr. Ellis
