At Shafer Services Plus, we believe in supporting the people and programs that shape our communities—especially the ones helping young people grow into leaders. That’s why we created the Shafer Cool Kids program, and we’re excited to welcome Reagan Lacrosse as one of our newest partners.
In the video below, you’ll get a glimpse into a Saturday tournament in Boerne, where student-athletes—ranging from first grade through high school—took the field to compete and connect. Our CEO, Chase Anderson spent the day with the team. “These kids are doing something special,” he said. “There’s hard work, grit, and a lot of fun out here.”
What stood out most during our visit was the sense of community. Coach Jimmy Flanagan has been with the program since his son was in second grade. “We’re like a family,” he shared. “Parents sit together, the kids stick together—it’s a tight-knit group.”
Coach Greg Martinez, who directs the program, talked about the values that drive the team: integrity, trust, respect, and family. With no school funding, the club relies on sponsorships for everything from field rentals to travel costs. Support from Shafer Services is helping them do more; play stronger teams, travel to tournaments, and make sure every player has what they need.
“It’s not just about gear,” Greg said. “It’s about giving these kids chances they might not have otherwise.”
