When Shafer Mechanical team member, Atticus Winfield, nominated Pastor Mike Hooper for Shafer Serves, our team had an opportunity to use what we do every day to make a meaningful difference for a local family.
A Nomination Close to Home
Shafer Serves is built around a simple idea: when we have the opportunity to use our skills and resources to help someone in our community, we want to be there.
Atticus recognized that opportunity with Pastor Mike and his family. In the middle of the South Texas summer, they were in need of a dependable HVAC system to keep their home comfortable.
Through Shafer Serves, our team was able to step in and replace their HVAC system, restoring reliable cooling when it mattered most.
Taking Care of People Like Family
For our team, this project was about more than installing a new HVAC system. It was about taking care of a family in our community. That idea is at the heart of one of Shafer’s core values: We take care of people like family. It’s also what Shafer Serves is all about.
We’re grateful to Atticus for recognizing a family we could help and to Pastor Mike Hooper and his family for welcoming our team into their home and allowing us to be part of their story.
